Frosty stories

We are learning to use adjectives in our writing.  Try and spot them when we talk about the frosty morning we had on Wednesday 23rd.  Look at our speech marks too.

On Wednesday morning I didn’t want to get out of bed.  The cold leapt into my bed like a tiger.  It woke me up.  I ran out of bed like a blazing fire.  When I got dressed I thought I was in Ohakune.  When I went to school on my bike the cold came through my gloves.  I got to school and I was snuggled up warm in my classroom.  When I was eating my lunch I felt much better.

The grass looked like shivering ice on the freezing wet ground so I didn’t wake up.  But mum said “Get up now, you are going to be late for school.”  I said “Ok mum.”

One frozen day I woke up and my feet were frozen so I stayed in bed.  Mum said, “Get up, otherwise you will be late for school!”  “Oh no,” I shouted.

I woke up this morning and it was very cold.  I had a cold nose.  I didn’t want to get up because I wasn’t feeling well.  “Come to breakfast,” said mum.  I was feeling hungry.
