Our Trip to Raglan

Last Monday we travelled by bus to Raglan.  We stopped at Manu bay to have our morning tea.  Then the bus took us to Whale bay and we walked down towards the rock pools.  We saw the ocean and we saw lots of surfers surfing the big waves.

We had fun exploring the rock pools for the next hour.  Some of the rocks were  slippery.  We found shrimps, sea stars, lots of shell fish and some big crabs.  We looked at the things we found and then we put them back in the pools.

We ate our lunch under a shady tree at the Domain.  It was fun walking over the bridge.  When we looked down we saw lots of fish swimming under the bridge

We had a sand sculpture competition.  The  children made castles, villages, boats and a turtle.

We all felt rather tired but very happy as we got back on the bus to head back.
